This Privacy Policy explains how Sujay Fashions, trading as Indie Craft ("Indie Craft", "we", "us", "our"), collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you visit indiecraft.in (the "Website"), place an order, or contact us.

By using the Website, you agree to this policy. Please read it together with our Terms of Service and Cookie Policy.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact details: your name, email address, phone number, and billing and shipping addresses, when you place an order, create an account, subscribe to our newsletter or contact us.
  • Order details: the products you buy, sizes, order value, payment method chosen (for example card, UPI or Cash on Delivery) and delivery instructions.
  • Support messages: what you tell us by email, WhatsApp, phone or our contact form, such as questions, return or exchange requests, and photos of a damaged item.
  • Refund details: for Cash on Delivery refunds, the bank account or UPI details you give us for the transfer.
  • Reviews: any review, rating or photo you choose to post.

Information collected automatically When you visit the Website, our platform automatically collects device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, approximate location, pages viewed, products searched for, and how you arrived at the Website. Some of this is collected using cookies; see our Cookie Policy.

Payment information Online payments are processed by our payment partner, Razorpay. Your card, UPI or net banking details are entered on Razorpay's secure payment page and are not stored by us. We receive only confirmation of the payment and limited details, such as the payment method and transaction ID.

3. How we use your information We use your information to:

  • process, confirm, pack and deliver your orders, and send order and shipping updates by email, SMS or WhatsApp
  • handle cancellations, returns, exchanges and refunds
  • answer your questions and provide customer support
  • manage your account, if you create one
  • prevent fraud and misuse, and keep the Website secure
  • understand how the Website is used, so we can improve it
  • send you news, new collections and offers by email or WhatsApp, only if you have opted in
  • meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations, such as GST invoicing and record-keeping

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Who we share it with We share information only as needed to run the store and fulfil your orders:

  • Shopify, our e-commerce platform, which hosts the Website and stores order and customer data
  • Razorpay, our payment processor
  • Courier and logistics partners, such as Shiprocket and the couriers it works with, to deliver your orders and returns
  • Customer service tools, such as our WhatsApp chat and email providers, to reply to your messages
  • Product review tools, if you choose to leave a review
  • Government authorities, courts or law enforcement, when required by law or to protect our rights

These providers may use your information only to provide their service to us and must keep it secure.

5. Storage outside India Shopify and some of our service providers store data on secure servers that may be located outside India. When data is transferred, it is protected by their security measures and contractual safeguards, and is handled in line with applicable Indian law.

6. Cookies We use cookies to keep the store working (for example, your cart and checkout) and, with your consent, to understand how the Website is used. When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. Details are in our Cookie Policy.

7. Marketing communications We send marketing emails or WhatsApp messages only if you subscribe or opt in. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails, by replying "STOP" on WhatsApp, or by contacting us. Order and service messages, such as order confirmations and delivery updates, are not marketing and will still be sent.

8. How long we keep your information

  • Order, invoice and payment records: for as long as Indian tax and accounting laws require.
  • Account details: until you ask us to delete your account.
  • Newsletter details: until you unsubscribe.
  • Support messages: for as long as needed to resolve your query and handle any related return or refund.

After that, we delete or anonymise the information.

9. How we protect your information The Website uses SSL encryption, and payments are processed on Razorpay's PCI-DSS compliant systems. Access to customer information is limited to people who need it to run the store. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

10. Your rights You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you and how we use it
  • correct or update inaccurate or incomplete information
  • delete your information, unless we must keep it by law (for example, invoices for tax purposes)
  • withdraw your consent to marketing, or to any other processing based on consent
  • name someone to exercise these rights for you, if you are unable to

To make a request, email info@indiecraft.co.in or message us on WhatsApp. We may need to verify your identity first. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are in the European Union or United Kingdom, you also have rights under the GDPR, including data portability and objecting to processing. Contact us using the details above to exercise them.

11. Children The Website is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us their information, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Links to other websites The Website may link to other websites or social media pages, such as Instagram and Facebook. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please read their policies.

13. Changes to this policy We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the "Last updated" date. Significant changes will also be highlighted on the Website.

We will acknowledge your complaint within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within one month.
